This stunning spot along the Susquehanna River is where a handful of visionary climbers are developing world-class boulders in an unconventional way. The boulders here aren’t accessible by land, they sit just out of reach in shallow water that obscures ankle-breaker rocks.
The crew was determined to find a way to climb the unique, schist boulders that the river sculpted into fabulous features. They tried floating docks and some other methods, but they eventually found a product made by Aquaglide that opened the door to what they call “shallow water bouldering.”
Every weekend they find more boulders and more epic, hard projects that are still waiting to be done.
